The same top of the line hardware, selected from some of the world's leading manufacturers, is used in the cabinet construction of all boxes 500s, 600, 700s and 800, making the Downsview product the best and most versatile in its' class.
Solid, all metal, snap-on, spring-loaded hinges open the doors to any angle up to 110°. The integrated decelerating closing action of the 'SILENTIA' hinge by SALICE provides a smooth and soft closing of the door in the last part of travel. An easy to use device allows the doors to be adjusted in any direction.
All base and tall units stand on four or more metal legs, individually adjustable to level uneven floors. The individual units are brought together visually by a continuous toe-kick panel, equipped with metal clips for easy removal. The wide assortment of heavy duty, steel wire, chrome plated baskets used in our standard cabinets provide the easy maintenance, proper ventilation and durability required in a highly efficient kitchen.
The base material is 45 lb., 19 mm (3/4”) particleboard faced with custom designed 140 g melamine in a dotted taupe pattern, with all edges sealed. Shelf height can be adjusted in increments of 32 mm using pre-drilled holes and solid metal shelf supports. Every unit is completely closed for extra hygienic protection and is sealed by a dust strip installed on all front edges. All surfaces are highly durable, resistant to heat and most household solvents.

Both concealed runner systems, with a carrying capacity of 30 kg, are guided by forty-four captive rollers which track both vertical and horizontal loads, and employs the soft gliding 'BLUMOTION' closing device. All drawers are made with a solid 16 mm (5/8”) bottom, faced with dotted taupe melamine.
Both 500 box drawer systems can be equipped with the latest electronic device, 'SERVO DRIVE' that allows the automatic opening and closing of the drawer at the touch of a finger.
The base material is a formaldehyde free, 19 mm (3/4”) water resistant veneer core plywood with all exposed edges finished with matching wood grain tape. All interior surfaces are coated with highly resistant water based finishes. Shelf height can be adjusted in increments of 32 mm using pre-drilled holes and solid metal shelf supports. Every unit is completely closed for extra hygienic protection and is sealed by a dust strip installed on all front edges (Box 600 only).
The box 600 and 800 carcases are equipped with 16 mm (5/8”) solid wood dove-tail drawers employing the top of the line full extension 'TANDEM' runner system by BLUM. This concealed drawer hardware, guided by forty-four captive rollers per drawer which track both vertical and horizontal loads, has a carrying load capability of 30 kg at full extension. This unique self closing device 'BLUMOTION' completes this technically advanced old style drawer box. This system is also incorporated in all our wood shallow interior drawers.
